“I have a unique sense of style. A particular point of view. I love the 80′s leather, and rock&roll. I find colors to be the greatest thing to ever exist, the love of my life. They bring happiness and excitement. Its my passion without a doubt. Every color has a meaning, characteristic and feeling. Colors are addictive; like a drug but more intense. I first started experimenting with colors when I was a little girl. I remember how much I loved crayons, how taking them out of their box and reading each of their names made me giggle. Drawing and coloring with them was so much fun, they were my scape from the real world. They became routine. As I grew older I started using more stuff, acrylics, play doh, fabrics, carbon, pastels, papers, film, nature, oils, needles and pins to name a few. I stayed hours at mygrandma’s house playing with her sewing machine. I would use all her towels and pieces of fabric to make little bags. Every christmas and at family events I used to take a video camera and filmed movies using anything in my surroundings as props. I spent my afternoons painting in my room or doing some sort of mix media. Art became my life.
While most fashion designers are 100 percent focused on their collections this time of year, the ever-talented Henrik Vibskov brings his pieces straight into the spotlight as the Costume Designer for Japanese Manga opera War Sum Up. Bringing together music, manga, and machines, War Sum Up is a visual impression of the nature of war given through the three stories of The Warrior, The Spy, and The Soldier.
